Legislator Rodney J. Strange met with employees of Corning Inc. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 during the United Way Day of Action.

Strange visited Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery on Jerusalem Hill Road in the Town of Elmira.

United Way’s Day of Action is a day set aside when local companies, businesses and individual come together and spend the day working on projects and helping organizations with chores that just wouldn’t get done otherwise.

Legislator Strange thanked the Corning Inc. employees and gave each volunteer a card for a free order of chicken wings from the Elbow Room.

“I appreciate the opportunity to meet the caring people of our community who choose to help businesses, organizations and county residents with odd jobs and things that they wouldn’t always have the time or manpower to do all that needs to be done,” Strange said.
