Chemung County Legislator Rodney J. Strange saluted local law enforcement officers on January 9th, National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, for their service to our communities throughout Chemung County.
“I am thankful every day, but especially on this day, for the dedication, commitment and sacrifice the men and women in law enforcement provide our citizens every time they put on the uniform and leave their homes. The bravery they demonstrate on a daily basis is truly amazing,” Strange said.
“I am beyond grateful to the men and women who protect the residents of the 15th legislative district from the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Police. The help they receive, when needed, from the Elmira City Police, West Elmira, Horseheads, and Elmira Heights is also very much appreciated.”
Strange has been a long-time supporter of our men and women in blue. He supports their efforts in the community, does ride a longs and supports the Sheriff’s Office and the deputies through the county budget with sufficient funding to keep our Sheriff’s Office one of the best.
