NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and Department of Health invite you to attend a public information session on the Elmira High School Cleanup.

The public is welcome to come anytime between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to meet with DEC and DOH staff and get an update on the ongoing cleanup actions related to the Former Sperry Remington Site. Representatives from the Unisys Corporation and the Elmira City School District will also be present.
New York State is overseeing a thorough cleanup of contamination found below ground on portions of the Elmira High School property, and is committed to ensuring the students, faculty and community are safe and informed of these actions. Staff will be available to provide detailed information on the extensive work completed this summer, the ongoing work on the football field and plans for future investigation and cleanup activities including areas in the surrounding community. DOH staff will be available to speak one-on-one with individuals about their health-related concerns.
