Chemung County Treasurer’s 2010 Year End Summary Shows County In Excellent Fiscal Shape

At the April 4, 2011 Budget Committee meeting, the County Treasurer’s 2010 Year End Summary was presented. It showed the County is in excellent fiscal shape. The General Fund Balance totaled $23,801,825. This is $12,307,503 more than it was on December 31, 2009. Highway Shared Services Agreement Approved

At the February meeting of the Chemung County Legislature, the Consolidated Urban Highway Services Area (CUHSA) Shared Services Agreement was approved. The County entered into an agreement with the City of Elmira, the Town of Elmira, the Town of Horseheads, the Village of Horseheads and the Village of Emira Heights to further implement the highway shared services initiative.
