The day after I posted on my Legislative Facebook page that I was going to lead the fight against NYSEG, the Vice President of Government Relations contacted me to see if there was anything he could help me with. I explained to him that there are many questions that residents need answered and they didn’t feel NYSEG customer service was any help. He offered to bring a team of competent and experienced customer service representatives to Chemung County and host a meeting where customers could bring their bills and get specific questions answered in person, one on one.
Thursday it was announced that NYSEG will host an event next week for customers who have questions about their utility bills. The NYSEG is calling it a “Community Connection” event. It will be held on March 27th at the American Legion at 45 Olcott Road South in Big Flats, from 4PM – 7PM.
NYSEG customers will be able to talk directly to a customer service representative, in person. They will be able to answer billing questions, and help people understand their usage during the winter heating months.
NYSEG says the event is not a town hall, and there will not be a presentation.
Please let me know on my Legislative Facebook page, Email or Messenger if your questions were answered if you go to the event.
