A resolution was passed at the January meeting of the Chemung County Legislature asking Gov. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature to advance funding to expedite completion of I86 Projects in Broome, Delaware, Sullivan and Orange Counties. It is incredibly important that the state finish this Interstate because the financial impact once it is completed will benefit all of the Southern Tier.
“A portion of I86 runs through the 15th legislative district and I hope we can draw economic development projects to this area to help create jobs and opportunities for our residents,” said Legislator Rodney J. Strange. “I am committed to working with I86 Coalition Chairman Ted Bennett to see this become a reality.”
Strange is the administrator for the I86 Coalition page on Facebook.
