Majority Leader and 15th District Legislator Rodney J. Strange, a longtime supporter of the exemption was elated at its passage. “It is about time we passed this law that shows our veterans the respect and appreciation they deserve for serving our country. Anyone who serves should be eligible for an exemption to show how much their commitment and sacrifice means to all of us citizens of this great country.” Strange said.
“This should have been done long ago but I am thankful that we were finally able to pass it now. It was a priority of many of us and the unanimous vote showed that,” Strange said.
